Alice In Chain guitarist and vocalist Jerry Cantrell has shared the title track of his new solo album, Brighten, which is set to release on October 29.
“It’s pure rock and roll,” Cantrell said about the title track. “Vince Jones, on keys, added a really great track and brought it to a new level. I can picture myself playing it on a stage for people, and it feels good. It’s a big rock song.”
Brighten, was co-produced with film composer Tyler Bates and Paul Figueroa, with contributions from Michael Rozon, Duff McKagan, who appears on bass on a few tracks, and Dillinger Escape Plan‘s Greg Puciato, who handles backing vocals.
“Brighten” follows the debut single, “Atone,” which was released at the end of July. Brighten will mark Cantrell’s first full-length release since Degradation Trip.
